PLANNING RETREATS

This method is most often selected when a company wishes to benefit from the input of several of its key executives in a facilitated roundtable discussion format.

The focus of these one to three-day planning retreats generally involves such subjects as: Corporate Mission Statements, Long Range Strategic Goals, Market Expansion Opportunities, New Market Penetration Strategies, or the Development of new Strategies to counter a change in Competitive, Economic, Social, or Technological trends in the marketplace.

STRATEGIC PLAN DEVELOPMENT

This process is most valuable to clients experiencing a critical period of transition in their business cycle. Changes in ownership, competition, customer base, economic trends, etc. often necessitate the need for a new Strategic Plan.

The purpose of the Strategic Plan is to describe what the company wants to achieve, its available resources, and the steps it will take to accomplish those objectives. A Strategic Plan generally covers a one to five year period and will require approximately 60 to 90 days to complete.

A Strategic Plan is used for both internal operation and as a tool to obtain additional external investment or other outside funding.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

This method generally involves the assignment of a specific project or task to Strategic Insight for its design, coordination, supervision, and implementation.

Typical projects might include: Market Research, Trade or Consumer Promotions, Direct Mail Campaigns, New Product Development, Creation of a Communications Plan, Sales Force Territory Realignment, Design of a Compensation Plan for Sales & Marketing employees, etc.

 

RETAINER AGREEMENTS

This method allows a company to receive the full benefits of an experienced "on-call" Marketing Advisor without the high costs of a salary, taxes, and benefits usually associated with a full-time employee.

The common working arrangement in this type of situation is for the client to retain the services of Strategic Insight for a specific number of hours per month, usually for a six month to one year period. The client is then able to call upon Strategic Insight for specific assignments, counsel, or other services as the need arises.
